When Kirsty and Will first got in touch back in March 2019, they described their wedding as ‘a relaxed weekday winter wedding’, which for me conjures images of a small family affair, everyone huddled in a pub after the registry, for a mulled wine toast to the happy couple. Well, it was far from that. I mean, I should have probably guessed that when I heard that the day was being hosted at Trinity Buoy Wharf, a former lighthouse-come-space for arts and culture; its refined and cool, a bit like our Will & Kirsty, in fact.
It was a wet windy December day, most brides nightmare, but i don’t think Kirsty mentioned the weather once whilst getting ready, it really didn’t affect the sort of day these guys had planned – it was all about just having all of the right people together, in a fitting venue, with great food, great music.
From my perspective, the day was an absolute pleasure to capture, a beautiful venue, 100+ charismatic and social guests all interacting with one another, and a lovely couple of clients. It was also great to meet Libby from Libby Christensen Photography who I captured the day alongside. Libby’s similar approach to mine made working together an absolute breeze. Cheers Libby!
