Our Approach
Contrary to the wedding film trends at the moment, our films aren’t particularly ‘cinematic’, dramatic or heavily edited; We’re not trying to skew reality or make it seem something it was not. More humbly, we’re just trying to eloquently capture the refined raw essence of the day, bottling the vibes of your wedding, whatever they may be, in video, so that you can tap back into it whenever you please. We do this by capturing 100’s of what seem like incidental moments and then simply threading them together in the edit to tell the true story of the day, for better or for worse. We find that there is a beauty in this rawness, and a much more emotionally engaging story, than just slick editing or camera work. We, at least hope, this creates a wedding video that is honest, timeless and refined.
Filming unobtrusively is paramount for this to work, no interfering or directing, we simply take a step back and film the wedding almost from a guests perspective, albeit one with a ‘back stage pass’. We also find this really helps put people at ease, as who honestly likes the idea of being filmed.
We are currently accepting enquires for 2021 and 2022 weddings, with availability unfortunately being limited due to a backlog of postponed weddings relating to Coronavirus. Please do contact us as prior to your wedding as you can to avoid disappointment. Although we’re a London Wedding Videographer, we also capture weddings in the home counties including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex, but we’re happy to travel all over the UK and Europe.
The Saville Club Wedding Video, Mayfair, London.
This was my first wedding where the couple shared the same name, John & John. So simple, it got confusing. For differentiation, I took to them being American John, and English John. It also made for rather fun vowels; “Do you John, take you John to be your lawfully wedding husband, I do, thank you John, Do you John, take you John to be your lawfully wedding husband, i do, thank you John!” Then to keep the theme running, John’s (American John’s that is)dad was called John (Senior), and John’s (English John’s) best man was called John (Well, actually Jon, but let’s not let the truth get in the way of a good story). How fun!
Names to one side, it was a beautiful day with a very gentle and kind couple. The Saville Club is one of these Ancient (18th century to be more precise) private members clubs, where the elegant handprinted wallpaper is adorned with dusty portraits of the London gentry of times past. Any who, it made for a good spot for a knees up to celebrates the John’s nuptials. Check out the highlights clip!
I just wanted to send a note to say we viewed the entire video last night and it was probably the most joy I have known since the wedding! You captured everything so beautifully; thank you so very much for all your work on this and for sharing your talent with us. We are simply over the moon.
I have watched the highlights film about 10 times so far and am already looking forward to watching it again when I get a break at work! You did such a fabulous job, and we are really, really grateful.
