Ben, now in his mid 30’s, started The London Wedding Film Company over 14 years ago. His discreet yet personal and emotionally resonant style of filming gained popularity fast, resulting in Ben having filmed over 650 weddings since starting up. When not filming weddings in London and the surrounding home counties, Ben resides in the west country with his wife and three young children.

My Approach

Contrary to the wedding film trends at the moment, my films aren’t particularly ‘cinematic’, dramatic or heavily edited; I’m not trying to skew reality or make it seem something it was not. More humbly, i’m just trying to eloquently capture the refined raw essence of the day, bottling the vibes of your wedding, whatever they may be, in video, so that you can tap back into it whenever you please. I do this by capturing 100’s of what seem like incidental moments and then simply threading them together in the edit to tell the true story of the day, for better or for worse. I find that there is a beauty in this rawness, and a much more emotionally engaging story, than just slick editing or camera work. I, at least hope, this creates a wedding video that is honest, timeless and refined.

Filming unobtrusively is paramount for this to work, no interfering or directing, I simply take a step back and film the wedding almost from a guests perspective, albeit one with a ‘back stage pass’. We also find this really helps put people at ease, as who honestly likes the idea of being filmed.

Although I’m a London Wedding Videographer, I also capture weddings in the home counties including Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Oxfordshire but I’m happy to travel all over the UK and Europe.

Ben is the most incredible videographer – the wedding video he made for us perfectly captures the joy and emotion of our wedding. On the day he was a calming and discreet presence. I could not recommend Ben more highly, we will treasure our video forever.

Ben has produced the most beautiful video of our wedding day – its everything I hoped it would be and more. Half the time you never even knew he was there. For anyone even thinking about a wedding video (I was in two minds) DO IT. Ben will honestly be the best wedding day investment.

Ben was wonderful! He captured our day perfectly! Having such a small wedding, Ben fit in with our close family and friends so well and it was great to share our day with him.

What can we say; Ben is amazing! Through the heartache of 3 wedding dates and multiple postponements due to Covid, Ben was so accommodating and supportive; moving the date each time without a fuss. As for the day itself… incredible! Ben captured everything we’d hoped for and more. The video is perfect. And to top it off, he’s just a genuinely nice guy.

I honestly can’t recommend Ben enough, he was absolutely amazing throughout! The videos Ben captured and edited of our wedding were just everything we wanted and much more!!! Safe to say we were blown away by Ben’s work! The sequence, the songs and the shots he put together were all perfect, had us constantly in tears with both laughter and emotion as we’ve watched it back so many times. All our friends and family have also commented how incredible the video is. Not only that but Ben was amazing on the day, guiding us when needed but mostly being in the background basically unnoticeable as we went about our day.

Ben is simply amazing. We saw his other wedding videos online and knew we loved the style, but obviously you have no idea if you’ll like the person behind the camera who spends the whole day with you – or if you’ll like seeing yourself back in what they film- we won, on all counts! Ben is so subtle that you barely even notice him on the day, but when you do, he’s smiling and quietly going about his business. Thank you Ben – you are awesome.
